HeatEWS
System for extreme heat lead time advisory
Extreme heat, seen days before it arrives.
HeatEWS is a heat early warning system designed to help communities, governments and frontline services anticipate dangerous heat before it happens. By combining advanced forecasting with local climate conditions, the system identifies when temperatures are likely to become unusually hot for a specific place and time of year, providing several days of advance warning.
Rather than presenting temperature forecasts alone, HeatEWS translates forecast information into clear, location-specific heat risk levels and practical guidance. This helps people understand not only how hot it may become, but what that heat could mean for health, livelihoods and day-to-day activities.
