Varysian was founded in 2017 with a mission to empower National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) education and decision-making through world-class events, data and research. Today, they work with partners in the fields of conservation, the environment and development, creating networks of specialists and organizing events and digital campuses.
As part of this, the African Centre of Meteorological Application for Development (ACMAD) will host a webinar on Continental Weather and Climate watch for Africa.
This webinar will be held on Wednesday 23rd, May 2024 from 14 :30 to 15 :30 WAT and will be Presented by Godefroid NSHIMIRIMANA, our Thematic Expert in Meteorology, African Center of Meteorological Applications for Development (ACMAD).
OBJECTIVES :
- Raise awareness of products and services available at continental level to support early warning, adaptation planning and community resilience across Africa;
- Engage with the Varysian network and build a partnership ;
- Share experiences of a WMO-designated operational regional climate centre in Africa.
